School Day
Statutory Opening Hours: Our school day begins at 8:50 am and ends at 3:30 pm. This amounts to a total of 33 hours and 20 minutes per week, which meets the Department for Education’s expectation for all state-funded schools to be open for at least 32.5 hours per week.
A typical school day:

The school gate is opened at 8.40am. There is a 10 minute window for parents to drop their children off. The gate is closed at 8.50am. Pupils arriving after this time should report to the school office.
Morning break is from around 10.30am until 10.45am during which time children have a healthy fruit/veg snack and a drink.
Lunchtime is from 12.00pm until 1.00pm.
The school day ends at 3.30pm. Children are collected from outside the hall/school office. If your child is attending Wraparound Care at Kimpton School they will go to the office at the end of the day.
