Safeguarding: Everyone's Responsibility
"At Appleshaw St Peter’s, our first job is to ensure that everyone is safe. We believe that safeguarding is not just a policy, but a culture of vigilance and care rooted in our values of Faith, Hope, and Love."

Our 'Tiered' Approach
We recognise that safeguarding ranges from universal wellbeing to specialist protection:
-
Tier 1: Universal Prevention: Safeguarding is embedded in our daily practice; we empower our students with the knowledge to navigate the digital and physical world with confidence. By teaching resilience and self-regulation, we ensure every child has the tools they need to stay safe, happy, and heard.
-
Tier 2: Early Intervention: Our experienced ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and TALA (Therapeutic Active Listening Assistant) provide bespoke support for social and emotional development.
-
Tier 3: Multi-Agency Support: We work closely with Hampshire and Wiltshire Children’s Services, the NHS, and the Police to support families through Early Help and Child Protection plans.
