📈 Our Performance & Inspections

At Appleshaw St Peter’s, we are committed to maintaining high standards while providing a nurturing, Christian environment where every child can flourish.

Ofsted: A 'Good' School

Appleshaw was last inspected in October 2022 and was confirmed to be a Good school. The inspectors highlighted our high expectations and the "happy, safe" environment we provide.

Key Highlights from the Report:

  • "Leaders' expectations are high across a broad range of subjects."

  • "The school is a happy place for pupils, where they feel safe... Relationships are positive and people are friendly."

  • "Pupils behave well at playtimes and show genuine care for one another."

Areas for Development: We have taken proactive steps to address the recommendation regarding early reading. By adopting the Bug Club Phonics scheme and aligning our home-reading books with our classroom teaching, we have ensured a more rapid and consistent trajectory for our youngest readers

 Statutory Information & Data

As a small school with small cohorts, we focus on the progress and achievement of every individual child. Our data is often suppressed in national tables to protect pupil anonymity, but we celebrate the strong progress our children make from their varying starting points.

SIAMS Inspection Our Christian distinctiveness was recently inspected in March 2025. You can find the full report and more information on our

dedicated SIAMS page.
